The PTR record, or Pointer record, points an IP to its hostname. This IP - 74.125.142.147 is one of Google’s IP. If you make a reverse DNS lookup, you will receive the hostname for it. You can further check the hostname if its Google’s and be sure that you are browsing safe.

PTR servers as a verification for the host. This is why it is used in almost every mail server. The receiving mail server will check if there are PTR records, and if there are not, the mail of the outgoing mail server will go directly to spam.

How to create a PTR record?
