DR2 can be contracted directly by businesses with a minimum of 5MW of demand response capacity or through a company that aggregates demand response capacity for any load larger than .1MW.

Load shifting requiring production activity to be shifted from On Peak Period to an Off Peak Period. The program is contractually binding. Throughout Ontario including the City of Toronto

A capacity payment to provide for a load shift capability and a guaranteed minimum energy price differential between the On Peak Contract Period and all Off Peak Hours

Customers capable of providing greater than 5MW of demand response may contract with either an Aggregator or the OPA.

Small commercial Demand Response. It "cycles down" the participants' central air conditioning when the electricity system is stretched to its limits. There will only be a handful of activations each summer. If you have a special event you can opt out for that time.
