Retrofits

When it’s time to retrofit your business, we want to help you choose equipment that will help you save electricity and reduce your power costs. And those savings will go right to your bottom line.

The Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP) focuses on equipment such as lighting, heating, ventilation, swine creep heat and controls, livestock waterers and overall electricity systems – to name just a few. To simplify the process, we’ve developed a “menu” of technologies that have a corresponding per-unit or performance-based savings – perfect for equipment replacements or upgrades. We also have a custom-track program that allows you to select technologies based on your specific needs, and then calculate the incentives based on how much they improve your business’ electricity efficiency.

New Construction

Are you a farmer in Ontario who’s planning to include energy-saving measures in the design and construction of a new barn or in the major renovation of an existing building? You might be eligible for the financial incentives now available through the Ontario Power Authority’s High Performance New Construction Program (HPNCP).

Achieving high-performance is about going beyond the normal building design process. The HPNCP encourages builders and designers to incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient features in new construction and major renovation projects. High performance buildings use less energy, have reduced maintenance costs and affect the environment in a positive way. Over a building’s lifetime, the savings in operating costs could far outweigh the initial investment in energy efficiency.
